Lafayette Heritage Trail Description

Lafayette Heritage Trail winds through quiet woodlands on Tallahassee's east side, connecting Lafayette Heritage Trail Park and Tom Brown Park. Both parks offer nice amenities including covered picnic tables, restrooms, and drinking water. The trail curves around Piney Z Lake, where you'll find fishing piers and a boat launch. Along the way, look for turtles, alligators, and many types of birds.

On the trail's eastern end, a new pedestrian bridge over the CSX railroad tracks will connect the trail to the J.R. Alford Greenway. The bridge is expected to be completed by March 2014. On the trail's west end, you can connect to Goose Pond Trail, which traverses Tom Brown Park.

Parking and Trail Access

Parking is available in Lafayette Heritage Trail Park (4900 Heritage Park Boulevard) and Tom Brown Park.
