4.5 miles of the 7 mile trail has been completed. The trail is opened for hiking, biking and horseback riding. The trail head begins in Piney River on SR 151, travel 1.8 miles to the second trailhead/parking area at Roses Mill on Rte 674 (Roses Mill Rd). The Trail then extends at this time 2.75 miles further to the Naked Creek Bridge. The last 2.5 miles to Tye River Depot are schedule to open in the Spring of 2010. The trail meanders along the scenic Piney & Tye Rivers. At this time there is no outlet at the end of the trail. You must retrace your way back to the parking areas. A portajohn is available at the Piney River Trailhead. Parking for cars and horse trailers is available at Piney River. A smaller lot for cars only is located at the Roses Mill Trailhead at milepost 1.8 of the trail. The trail is open sunrise to sunset.
