Nestled in the quiet Sierra pines of Arnold, California in Calaveras County, Mountain Retreat is just three hours from Lake Tahoe, Yosemite and the San Francisco Bay Area. The condominiums are duplex style -one style, the Calistoga, is a triplex- with numerous stairs that afford optimum privacy. Minimum age required at check-in is 21. The resort recently experienced a fire that caused damage to its clubhouse. Unfortunately, this means that the following resort amenities will not be available to its guests- pool, spa, sauna, business center, fitness center, pool table, ping pong table, and foosball table. Due to the varying schedule for repairs, these items are currently out of order until the end of summer of 2012. Please note that a Resort Service Fee of USD 5.00 per night will be charged at check-out. Housekeeping service is available for USD 25.00 per day. Guests may trade out dirty towels/linens at front desk. The first trade-out is complimentary, and each additional trade-out is USD 10.00. Check-in is at 4 pm. Valid ID and credit card are required to check in. Minimum age required at check-in is 21. Check-out is at 10 am. Guests arriving outside of normal check in must contact the resort at 1-209-795-4447 prior to arrival to arrange late check in. Historic Arnold offers many Gold Rush-era attractions, award-winning wineries, and easy access to Big Trees State Park. Outdoor sports include golfing, skiing, fishing, hiking, rock climbing, cave exploration, tubing, sledding, and boating.
