April 22nd, 2012 - May 1st 2013- Fisher Island Club will be undergoing restorations to the main house of the historic Vanderbilt Mansion. Work will take place Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm and will not be in the guests area. All guests will be assigned accommodations in the Residence which is not near the restoration, or in the Club units. The restoration will be done inside the Mansion and not visible to guests. What will be visible is the landscaping around the exterior of the Mansion. Facilities unavailable will be the mansion pool and Vanderbilt Ballroom. The Garwood Lounge and City View Cafe will be moved to the Beach Club for evening dinning. The hotel has advised that a deposit refund will be offered for any cancellations. The Fisher Island Hotel and Resort offers magnificent choices of accommodations including faithfully restored one- and two-bedroom Vanderbilt Cottages on the picturesque grounds of the estate. With 7 restaurant, 4 lounges, a 9 hole golf course designed by P.B. Dye, a 20,000 sqf. Spa and Fitness Center, 12 Tennis Courts and a full-service marina Fisher Island Hotel and Resort has plenty to offer for everybody. *Non-smoking hotel*
