Originally built in 1927 the General Francis Marion Hotel has been completely renovated and restored. It has been honored with many historic preservations awards and has AAA Three Diamond status. A subtle green/ gold/ and blue color scheme runs throughout the hotel but every room is individual containing slightly different furnishings and accents. The entire facility is smoke-free. The hotel is listed on the Virginia and National Registers of Historic Places.
