My bike group traveled from Mid Missouri to Fayetteville area to ride this trail in September 2025. The trail was well maintained, well marked and it was separated away from the traffic lanes of cars. We rode all 40 miles in a weekend and visited Crystal Bridges during our ride. We also took a tour around Lake Fayetteville, which was a nice ride through the woods and around the lake. This was my second time riding this trail and I would go again.
My review is limited to the OSU parking lot to Sperry only: Paved trail, somewhat shady, but not the part of town to be in. Broken glass on trail, no toilets. We were told the ride from Sperry to Skiatook was much nicer.
This trail needs MAJOR maintenance south of the TCC campus. Tree limbs are growing out over it, preventing bicycling. The grass in places has grown 6 inches in from each side. The part going under the Creek Turnpike needs to be re-surfaced in some areas & have runoff dirt 3 inches deep removed in others. I call it the Kilimanjaro Trail leading to the hiking area where the turnpike diverges. It's like navigating a jungle to pass through it.
Trail an asphalt paved with easy grades. Southern areas are urban and have a significant homeless presence. Sperry is a wonderful town that has embraced the trail wholeheartedly. Skiatook has an excellent park on the trail but I couldn’t find anything of trail to recommend. All in all a great ride.
I rode the Centennial Trail in mid April in a weekday morning. The trail is in good shape and very few people. I was able to hammer most of the way. I recommend checking this trail out. I give it five stars though it could use some cleaning up. Traveling cyclist Facebook
Great trail on Saturday afternoon. You do have to cross a few roads, thankfully we never had to stop for traffic. Ended in Gathering Place Park.
I rode the Osage Prairie trail in October 2024. I started in Central Park in Skiatook and rode to the north terminus then back south to E 63rd st N in Turley. The trail was great up to that point then there was a lot of trash and broken glass. I saw a group milling around ahead of me so I turned around. The 10 or so miles I rode in the north part were 5 stars. A nice straight long distance trail. There are two busy road intersections and the death machines DO NOT slow down so be careful on those. We started in Bentonville and rode to Fayetteville in three hours. No construction or detours. It is a well maintained trail with beautiful views! It has challenging hills and some street riding but we felt safe the entire ride. Car drivers were very considerate. There are many of places to stop to eat or rest along the way. The trail is well marked with signs.
We rode this trail for a couple of days, just the Razorback, but you could connect to the entire areas regional trails that intersect throughout the trail and make it a few day ride if you're in the area. Our two day total was 67 miles.
There was a lot of construction going on throughout the trail and some of it is not well marked on the detours.
Hills, lakes, parks, benches, along river beds, as well as paths dedicated on city streets. Overall a nice trail. Lots of weekend riders, families, strollers, etc. Fun urban riding. Any bike will do as the trails are concrete and asphalt mostly with some dirt tracks. Lots of amenities, shade and fun.
On 9/19/24 rode the trail for about 9.5 miles with my wife. The trail was good macadam the entire length and flat and mostly shady. The Central Park had restrooms, water, parking with security cameras. No water, services or restrooms in that section along the trail. The trail was very nice till we approached Turley. Litter was then everywhere along the trail and dogs wandering .
