Penns Creek Path (Mid State Trail)
Neat Trail.

We actually started at the Coburn side of this trail. We parked at one of the PA Fish Commission parking lot areas and rode the township road to the Coburn tunnel. We crossed Penns Creek over a very narrow railroad bridge. We were unable to ride across because the guide rails were so tight it rubbed the end of our handle bars. The trail itself for being privately owned in this section was in pretty nice shape although not as nice as other trails I have been on. We rode on to the village of Engleby where the trail gets a little more narrow but it still is rideable. We rode on to the next bridge which is no longer in existance and we had to cross Penns Creek. We crossed on some rocks in the stream but I would recommend bringing sandals or some kind of footwear you don't mind getting wet. Some parts of the stream were mid calf high at this point. We then rode on to the beginning of the actual trail near Poe Paddy State Park. The Actual trail itself is very nice and well constructed. Watch your head if you ride through the tunnel on the other side. It was pretty close for me. We rode on to the Cherry Run parking lot where the trail ends. We did ride on out to the township road and further out to the town of Weikert. The township road follows the old railroad bed but this part of the privately owned section is not open to the public. Over all the main trail is very nice but if you want to extend the ride the rest of what I have described is very neat too. I actually enjoyed the stream crossing since it was 98 degrees out the day we went. Overall the grade is nice and it provides a great workout.

Lower Trail
The Best Trail ever!

My Brother and I rode this trail a couple of weekends ago and we really enjoyed this one. It was a great ride the whole way. We enjoyed riding into Williamsburg and getting some water. It provided a great workout and the icecream stand at the Water Street parking area was a great treat at the end of our ride. Over all the trail is very nicely contructed and well thought out. We plan on riding it again. I highly recommend this trail to everyone. Enjoy!

Houtzdale Line Trail
Very Nice!

I rode this trail last week and enjoyed the beautiful views and riding through Ramey. Everyone was pretty friendly along the path. The trail is very nice constructed and well thought out. The grade coming from Smoke Run isn't too bad and provided a great workout. I highly recommend this trail to anyone. Enjoy!

Ghost Town Trail
Great Trail.

My friend and I left his home in Ebensburg and rode to Vintondale over the weekend. We enjoyed the downhill grade pretty much the whole way to Vintondale. Very nicely constructed. Everything was well thought out. We stopped by the AMD & ART park and enjoyed what they have done so far. We also stopped by the Eliza Furnace which was very neat to see. We plan on starting in Vintondale next time and checking out more of the trail. I highly recommend this trail to anyone! The climb back to Ebensburg was a good workout but not that bad.

David S. Ammerman Trail (formerly Clearfield to Grampian Trail)
Great Ride.

I rode this trail a few weeks ago. It is very nicely constructed and I enjoyed the scenic ride. I will agree with one of the other people who rated this trail. Start in Clearfield and ride to Grampian. I started in Grampian and rode to Clearfield and back. I would have enjoyed coasting downhill after riding up the grade to Grampian. I highly recommend this trail for anyone. Enjoy!
