    Rail-Trail

    State: PA
    Length: 1.2 miles
    Surface: Asphalt

The Chambersburg Rail Trail is a 1.2 mile paved urban trail that connects neighborhoods just a few blocks west of the community's central business district. Starting at South Street, the trail occupies the center of a boulevard that separates north and southbound lanes of traffic. Stops are required at each intersection. At the busier streets there is a pedestrian crossing button that activates flashing yellow lights to warn the vehicular traffic of a pedestrian crossing. About midway along the trail there is a pedestrian bridge crossing the Conocochenague Creek and providing access to downtown shops and businesses. The paved trail ends at Commerce Street.

Kokosing Gap Trail

I am out of state, but rode this trail 8 times in three years. The trail is in perfect condition, tree shaded, follows the river, and has many wildflower and animal sightings. This trail is always worth the long haul to get there. I usually start at Kenyon College to Danville for an ice cream and then back past Gambier to Mt. Vernon.

This is the best trail I have seen in Northern Illinois. Well maintained, mostly tree covered, and rather remote. Only services are in Orangeville unless you go into monroe WI.

It is a good trail, but not great. Well maintained and enjoyed the town of Raymond with it Market on Saturday. Heavy forests with bug repellant a must.

This trail has it all:lakes, ponds, wetlands, river, and forest. Started in Adams with slighty uphill all the way to the end and returned. Ate a great lunch at the RR station in Adams. Trail is in great shape and well maintained. To add mileage I traveled one hour and did the Norwottuck in Northampton (good, but not great trail). My 5th time on this trail and I am from Indiana.

Pat McGee Trail
Nice Trail

I started in Little Valley at the parking lot where Main Street ends. The adjacent market has a great Deli. The rail North was great with farmland, wetland, and forest. Slight hill up then down, but not significant. I used a road bike, but would recomend a hybrid or mountain bike. The trail immediately South of town was rough and could use some work. I like trails that do not follow highways and this fit the bill. Would recommend if you are in the area.
