Miners Ravine Trail Description

The Miners Ravine Trail winds its way through the city of Roseville, following the course of Miners Ravine and Dry Creek through a wooded greenway and among suburban neighborhoods and business districts, including Downtown Roseville. The trail extends between Sierra College Boulevard and Darling Way, with a break in the trail between Folsom Road and Royer Park. There are plans to complete a trail in this portion but for now the gap is easily bridged on-road by following Linda Drive, Lincoln Street, Park Drive and Deitrich Drive. The trail provides easy access between downtown Roseville and Miners Ravine Preserve.

Parking and Trail Access

Parking is available at Saugstad Park off Douglas Drive; off Oak St. (cross the footbridge to Royer Park); along Parry St. (access to Lincoln Estates Park); at Heald College (permit may be required); at the back end of the shopping plaza along Sunrise Ave. (opposite Auto Mall Dr.); off Orvietto Dr.; behind the shopping plaza at E. Roseville Pkwy. and Sunrise Ave.; and at the northern endpoint along Sierra College Blvd.

Miners Ravine Trail Reviews

My Perfect Trail

I’m from out of town and was looking for a trail on which we could walk our little dog. I was hoping for something flat, safe, well-maintained, and devoid of poison oak. This trail was all of that, with extra bonuses of wide pavement and absolutely gorgeous surroundings. All of us, including my dog, loved it. We’ll be coming back whenever we visit.

My first love trail!

Love this trail! Absolutely gorgeous and serene,

My first love trail!

I recently start experimenting with cycling and this is the very first trail I ventured out on. It's beautiful and as was my estimate of this trail, it is 7.5 miles long. We typically ride our bikes here at dusk. It has very few people then. We sorta race through the trail all the way to downtown Roseville to Harding Blvd, then turn around and go all the way back to Orvieto Drive. I haven't quite made it all the way to Sierra College or Miners Ravine side but I'm working on it. Last night we were there pretty late and we seen a coyote. He was glorious! We seen him but stayed our distance. This whole trail runs along a beautiful creek. The nature here is almost surreal. It even has Maudie Native American grinding stones. This trail is awesome. Come & explore!

Roseville Oasis

Parked near Darling in the South and biked North to False Ravine Park. Be aware there is some elevation along the way, but its managable.

The sculpture park is a nice stop along the way. Visit the tall, red Cosmos sculpture I've driven by a thousand times.

The part near downtown Roseville is awkward. Be careful biking through Linda Dr as it is a one way street. It looks like Roseville is almost finished with a new segment of the bike path that will replace the detour along Linda Dr.

Overall a nice ride.

Miners Ravnie, Roseville

I love love love to walk/jog and trail running is the best! I visited Miners Ravine for the first time and I loved it. Running on the trails with the beautiful views is relaxing and gives you an excellent workout. I will be going every weekend with my walking group.

Great trail for the community

My husband and I just discovered this multi purpose trail and we are very thankful for this little newly discovered gem for activity! It's got beautiful scenery and you can hear several species of birds too. Very nice and the trail is growing too!
