Stony Creek Metropark Trail Reviews

Great trail

I have a recumbent trike and this is one of my favorite trails to ride on. The path is all paved and well maintained so I never have no worry about going off road. I even ride in and going fishing in the lake at the park.

Good Trail

Another great paved trail to rollerblade. There are some definite hills. One in particular is pretty big but still fun. It does get semi crowded with people running and biking on it at the same time. But overall I’d recommend

I enjoyed the ride in the woods.

Beautiful year-round

My wife and I have walked & biked this trail hundreds of times over the past 25 years. The asphalt trail is 6.2 miles around Stony Creek Lake and includes breathtaking views of the lake and nature. If you prefer to get off the asphalt, the trail connects to dozens of beautiful dirt trails through the woods, especially on the west side (“West Branch”). The best time to come is when it’s quiet & peaceful, ie, not on a major holiday.

Up north feeling

Stoney Creek's walking path—each time I have been there during the four seasons—has been in excellent shape. The rail around the lake keeps you from traffic areas for most part. Walking the six mile path you almost forget that you are still in southeast Michigan. In this way, it's far nicer than Kensington.

Nice park.

"Nice trails, good beaches but the bike trail is little bit to narrow.I still recommend to visit, it is wort the time. "
