We enjoy hiking this trail when it is hot weather, it is always cooler along this trail. We park at Hanging Rock Park and walk to the Upper Falls of Little Stoney, sometimes on up to Apple Tree Gap, seem to always see bear sign in this part of the trail. We have found alot of geocaches along the Trail this summer, there are caches all along the Chief Benge Scout Trail from the High Knob to Hanging Rock, about 20 miles of trail. Not as difficult as the Devils Loop Trail, but a good two day hike. One of the best hiking trails in Scott County.

I have hiked this section and can say it is everything promised. The waterfalls are spectacular as are the view of the surrounding flora and fauna. I would not recommend this to anyone thinking they can ride this trail on a bicycle however. It is a hiking trail. As part of the 18mile long Chief Benges Scout Trail, this is well worth the time hiking it.
