Peeler Park Greenway Description

Peeler Park Greenway is one of many forming Nashville's system of greenways throughout the city. Nashville's greenways link neighborhoods, schools, shopping areas, the downtown area, offices, recreation areas, open spaces and other points of interest.

The Peeler Park Greenway is a short, multi-use trail that runs along the river through the wooded Peeler Park. You may also catch a glimpse of a remote-controlled plane or two being piloted from the R/C Airfield within the park.

Note: Cyclists and pedestrians are not allowed on the unpaved horse trails and horses are not allowed in the paved trails.

Parking and Trail Access

You can access the greenway at Peeler Park, 2043 Neelys Bend Road in Madison. For more information, contact:

Peeler Park Greenway Reviews

beautiful place to bike

Went to peeler for the first time this morning. My boyfriend and I have been trying to get into biking and this was our first ride. We got there early and only saw 2 other people at the beginning of the trail. The green space is beautiful and you forget you’re close to the city. We saw 9 deer and 4 turkeys on our ride. Will definitely be going back.

Empty

The trail really never have anyone there, so far this year I've seen more snakes than people and some were nice length. Nice park hate to see it go to waste

Peeler park

Walk 2 or 3 times a week for years recently had a fall or the trail resulting in broken wrist, walking again and doing fine I love peeler park, very close to my home it's clean and I encourage everybody to own this space and pick up trash if necessary I just wonder if anything can be done about the lowlying areas that stay moist all the time , moss and algae are very slick and dangerous
A lot of older folks walk there and we want them including myself to be safe. Would love a response. Thanks for our wonderfful greenway Bridgette wakefield

:/

We walked a mile of this trail. It's pretty far off the beaten path to get there. We saw a few sketchy people. The first part of the trail is pretty boring. Flat paved trail in a wide open field. Not worth the drive.

great trail

I wish more people would go to this trail.its great for bikes

Delightful!!

I really enjoy experiencing hidden gems such as Peeler Park. The trail length is short but I still managed to spend 2 hours exploring side paths on foot and taking photographs, some of which I've posted here. The weather was magnificient in a way only fall can bring and the scudding clouds provided a glorious interplay of light, shadow and color.
There are no toilet facilities so when you pass the Mapco (about half way down Neely's Bend Road) you might want to make a pit stop. There are a few benches along the path if one cares for a sit-down. The paving is nice and there is plenty of parking. I was approached by two cats in the parking lot. They looked in good shape and were quite friendly, so I suspect they belong to one of the nearby residents and are fed treats by park visitors. I didn't see anyone on the trail until I was almost back to the parking lot.
Overall, I give high marks to Peeler Park. My only wish is that it was closer to my neighborhood of Sylvan Park as it was almost a 40 mile roundtrip and the wagon eats gas like TicTacs.
