Phenix-Harris Riverwalk

Very short trail!

"This trail starts at the intersection of Fairview Ave and Rt. 115, across from the church. A small sign marks the trailhead. The trail has a flat, dirt surface, running only a couple of blocks until the next intersection. A fence blocks access to the riverbank across the street.

In the semi-near future it will be connected with the Arkwright Riverwalk, which ends behind the demonic fence. We can walk over a mile then (see the review of the Arkwright Riverwalk on this site also)."
Nice neighborhood trail

"The trail starts by a little parking lot on Hill Street. This lot is is accessible from Route 115 West, then take a left onto Colvin to the end, than take a right onto Hill Street followed by the parking lot on the left. The trail is a nice little neighborhood trail, about a mile long, with a rough dirt surface. The wide main trail is fairly straight along the Pawtuxet River. Short, narrow side trails go off into the woods and closer to the river. There is mud, sand, rocks and exposed roots in some areas, requiring a little bit of care when walking. It can be a pleasant walk.

This trail, however, is not for someone who wants true solitude or a pristine setting. Part of the trail passes by a busy street. More important is the impact of neighborhood kids, who apparently drive ATV's on and off the trail, sit around drinking beer and leave trash everywhere.

The trail will be extended a couple more blocks to connect with the Phenix Harris Riverwalk in the semi-near future."
