Baine Avenue Trail Description

The Baine Avenue Trail is a short rail-with-trail along an active Union Pacific Railroad corridor in the heart of Newark. The unpaved trail is most useful as a neighborhood connector or short recreation route. Civic Center Park at the trail's southern end is a highlight, with play structures, picnic facilities, a basketball court and the local Alameda County library branch contained within.

Parking and Trail Access

Parking for the Baine Avenue Trail is available on-street where Baine Avenue meets Civic Center Park in Newark. Additional parking can be found on-street along Birch Street and Cedar Boulevard.
