Description
The Bell Trail is a short segment of the old Starke to Wannee line called "Old Peggy," which was abandoned in the 1950s. The train depot was sold to a private party who moved it to High Springs in 1982 and remodeled it for an antique store. The abandoned rail right-of-way and historic train depot were purchased by the town in 1995 with ISTEA funds. The depot was returned to its original location and is now the Bell town hall.
Parking and Trail Access
Bell, FL, is located about 100 miles southwest of Jacksonville. Free parking is available at the train depot. Limited space is available for horse trailers. For more information, contact:
