Description:
The Blazing Star State Trail is located in Albert Lea, near Minnesota's southern border. The town is known as "The Land Between the Lakes" and the trail sits on the northern shore of one the state's largest, Albert Lea Lake. You can begin your journey in Frank Hall Park, which offers restrooms, picnic areas and water. The trail continues through rural landscapes to Myre-Big Island State Park, a scenic natural gem of wetlands, woodlands and prairie.

The current pathway is nearly 6 miles long, but future plans call for extending it further east to Austin's trail network and the Shooting Star State Trail.
