Description:
Bonita Lakes Park is a 3,300 acre city-owned park situated on three lakes. In addition to boating and fishing, the park also has approximately 10 miles of trails for horseback riding, mountain biking and hiking.

The horse trails are marked by standard wooden markers with the horse head and rider on them. Some trails, however, are not marked but may be ridden. Some trails are short and connect with others so you can ride longer distances.

The trails' terrain ranges from flat to hilly and some trails run alongside Bonita Lakes' shoreline for miles.

An added bonus is a wash space to wash and water horses. Of interest: The Meridian Mounted Police operate out of Bonita Lakes with their horses living on the premises at their barn. They are very helpful and nice folks to ride with too.

The trails in Bonita Lakes Park are not "rail-trails."
