Description:
Boundary Trail at Trap Pond State Park is a paved loop trail that circles around the perimeter of the 90 - acre Trap Pond. The trail offers winding stretches through harwood forests, crosses a scenic dam at Raccooon Pond and travels over boardwalk bridges through Trap Pond's freshwater swamps offering intimate views into Sussex County. The park is home to Cypress Point, offering view of extensive stands of bald cypress trees and birdwatchers may be able to spot the elusive grand pileated woodpeckers that inhabit these freshwater cypress marshes.

At the parks eastern end, the trail passes by Bethesda Church's historic cemetery along Whaley's Road that is worth a stop to see century old headstones. From the Church the trail continues back into the forest and eventually leads to the Trap Pond camping area. From the campground, the trail continues around the western end of the pond to another larger scenic dam and then turns back toward the picnic area where the loop began.

The park also features a canoe trail on one of the waterways flowing into the pond.
