The Briargate Trail is located in northern Colorado Springs, beginning at the athletic fields of John Stone Park. From there, this pleasant trail travels southeast through residential areas for just over 2 miles. Mid-trail, you'll come to Candleflower Park, an open grassy area to play and picnic.
The southern half gets somewhat hilly and steep, ending at the
Woodmen Trail, an east-west route through commercial and residential areas. If you're hungry, turn west when you get there and you'll arrive shortly at a small shopping area with a King Soopers and restaurants.
A large parking lot is available on the eastern edge of John Stone Park (4017 Family Place).
