Description
The Calistoga Trail follows the old Southern Pacific rail line that ended in Calistoga. The City of Calistoga was able to pave a class 1 bike path on the route using Bicycle Transportation Account funding. The short trail is level and passes vineyards, the sewage treatment plant (there is really no odor, honest), and good bird watching areas before ending at Clos Pegase Winery and Sterling Vineyards. This trail will eventually be the northern section of the Napa Valley Vine Trail that will extend the length of the valley.
