Description

The Cedar Valley Lakes Trail is one in a series of trail systems throughout Cedar Falls, Iowa. The trail runs between Main Street on the north bank of the Cedar River in Cedar City and Longfellow Avenue alongside Cedar Bend Park in Waterloo. The trail follows the course of the Cedar River, winding through the forested landscape along the river and among its nearby lakes.

Just south of where the trail goes under State Route 58/27, it meets with a spur of the South Riverside Trail. The Cedar Valley Lakes Trail links several parks and a few neighborhoods between Cedar City and Waterloo.

Parking and Trail Access

Access the Cedar Valley Lakes Trail from the South Riverside Trail south of SR 58/27 (no parking). Parking is available at Cedar Bend Park off Cedar Bend St. in Waterloo. Park also at George Wyth Lake, Garfield Park and Alice Wyth Lake (all off Wyth Rd.) and in Cedar City at the trail's northern end off Lincoln St. (where it crosses the river).
