Centennial Greenway Description

Centennial Greenway will one day stretch 17 miles from Forest Park in the City of St. Louis through Creve Coeur County Park to St. Charles County. Currently, the trail is open in three segments, totaling 7.3 miles.

S. St. Peters Parkway to Upper Bottom Road:This section, paralleling Page Avenue, runs from the St. Charles County Heritage Museum to the Katy Trail, a 200-mile RTC Hall-of-Fame rail-trail, on the banks of the Missouri River. A .7 mile extension just east of the Heritage Museum provides a safe connection over Highways 364 and 94. On the east side of the river, you can continue on the Creve Coeur Park Trail to enjoy picturesque natural settings.

Olive Boulevard to Shaw Park: This urban section connects Shaw Park in Clayton to Olive Boulevard.

Vernon Avenue to S. Skinker Boulevard: This segment provides an important connection between Washington University in St. Louis and Forest Park, which is known as the city's heart and features important cultural attractions such as the zoo, science center, and museums. Starting from Vernon Avenue just east of Leland Avenue, this section runs south to Delmar Boulevard in the Loop Business District. It continues along Melville Avenue to the Washington University campus, then runs east along Forsyth Boulevard to Forest Park at Skinker Boulevard.

Parking and Trail Access

Parking lots can be found at either end of the trail's northernmost segment, off S. St. Peters Parkway and off Arena Parkway. At the trail's southern end, numerous parking lots can be found throughout Forest Park.

Centennial Greenway Reviews

Obnoxiously Close To 170

Man this stretch would be mint if I could actually hear myself think along the parts that are literal feet from 170. So much energy and effort building a nice paved trail that is once again ruined by vehicles

maybe when it’s completed

Right now the urban section is kinda loud as it runs along 170. Nice to have a walking trail in the area though.

nothing special

Nothing really spectacular bout this trial but shaw park is a great little park
