Description
This trail follows the Tombigbee Waterway. It is well lit, smooth, flat and wide, meandering through hardwoods and fields with views of the river. Benches, trash receptacles, restrooms and shelters are provided. Open all year and in the evenings. Plans are in the works to connect it with other local trails.
Parking and Trail Access
Columbus, MS, lies just south of US 82 at US 45. Follow signs to the visitor center, housed in the former home of Tennessee Williams. The trailhead is at Riverside Park a block from the visitor center.
