Description

Betty's Trail is part of the Cottonmill to Fort Kearny Trail, at 17-mile path that winds through southwest Kearney, Nebraska.

This segment is named for Betty Connell, who allowed the portion of trail to cross her land. The 1.7-mile section runs between 11th Street at Yanney Park to 2nd Avenue at Talmadge Street. The trail traverses a tree-lined canal and provides access to additional trails in Yanney Park.

Parking and Trail Access

Access this section from E.K. & Mary Yanney Heritage Park, 2020 W. 11th Street. There is parking, as well as restrooms, picnic areas, an observation tower, amphitheater, wetlands and gardens, a playground and splash park.
