The Tailrace Trail is part of the
Cottonmill to Fort Kearny Trail, at 17-mile path that winds through southwest Kearney, Nebraska. This section runs north–south along the Nebraska Public Power District canal between US 30 and 11th Street. The trail ends on the north side of Yanney Park.
Access this section from E.K. & Mary Yanney Heritage Park, 2020 W. 11th Street. There is parking, as well as restrooms, picnic areas, an observation tower, amphitheater, wetlands and gardens, a playground and splash park.
