Ellicott Creek Trailway Reviews

We have biked this trail many times now and will always be my favorite! Lots of scenery and bridges to cross, also a few fun curves! Also it's nice to take a ride through Ellicott Creek Park!

Cute trail with lots of beauty!

A great place to workout in the buffalo area while enjoying the beauty of Mother Nature. The trail is perfect for biking, walking, and even rollerblading. The changes in elevation are slight, but enough to add to the challenge. The trail is faulty lengthy, maybe 6 miles? I ended up picking up another trail that lead to the Erie Canal and up to Lockport. I went in July of 2021 - perfect at 7am. There are several bathroom throughout the trail. There’s tennis courts so bring a racquet! There’s also a golf course. Plenty of parking - free!!

Great for a run!

Great trail for a run through nature. Well maintained asphalt path. Plenty of parking.

Covid walk

Took a walk while my daughter was playing hockey. Since we can’t go in to watch I figured I’d take a walk. I didn’t even know this trail was here. Found it by dumb luck. It’s extremely nice, all paved, mower and landscaped. I only went a couple miles but I’ll definitely start doing it all the time.

Excellent trail

If you’re a local this starts on N forest by Maple. Will take you all the out to Niagara Falls Blvd, right across from Elliott Creek Park as one of its branches. Cross the street and on either side of the creek you can take right down to the Niagara River¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿

late summer 2016 run

Started at entrance on Forest St just north of Maple. Took the dog, day was rainy so we dispensed with usual restraints. We saw a ranger but didn't get any hassle. Passed the golf course and got to a well-paved run with dog alongside a grassy drainage swale, probably 80-250 yards wide in places.

The park is very flat but has nice vistas, we saw 10-12 deer and similar number of turkeys. Also encountered an 18" snapping turtle on the trail on the way back.

We were stymied at Audubon Parkway, couldn't figure out what to do if we crossed the road or whether to go across a narrow bridge across the creek with no shoulder. (From the map it looks like you stay south of the creek). Because it was pouring at this point and the dog is not so visible I decided to turn around. Probably got 3-4 miles in though.

Nice views but my guess is trees offer little protection from elements or the sun except early or late in the day.

love this trail

This trail has so much to offer from roadie to a casual/get in shape rider like myself. It's fully paved, benches all along the trail. There's enough elevation changes to give you a good cardio workout. I've been riding it for 3 years now and it never gets boring. Amherst police ride it so it will give ya a sence security. Has access from millerspot highway, and starts on North Forest, and ends at Niagra Falls Blvd just accrose the street IE ellicot park. I believe if you go straight there there another trail head, but could be wrong.
