Emma Trail Description

The Emma Trail offers a pleasant, paved route in the outdoor mecca of Basalt. Just shy of a mile, the trail parallels Highway 82 offering a safe and convenient route for walkers, joggers, and bikers to get out for some exercise while enjoying the views of the surrounding Rocky Mountains. Many kinds of wildlife can be found here in the Roaring Fork River Valley, including osprey and you'll find one of their large nests atop a powerline along the trail.

On the other side of the highway is the spectacular 42-mile Rio Grande Trail, which runs from Aspen to Glenwood Springs.
