Description:
From www.pinecanyon.net: The Flagstaff Urban Trail System (FUTS) is designed for interconnecting residential areas to commercial centers, cultural centers, schools (including Northern Arizona University), recreational areas, public lands, and other points of interest within and beyond the city limits. The urban trails program also provides alternative non-motorized transportation corridors throughout the City of Flagstaff. FUTS also allows access to the cross-state Arizona Trail, the extensive trail system on the Coconino National Forest, and the Flagstaff Bikeways Network.

The backbone" of the system consists of 20 miles of trails. Secondary linkages will be developed to bring the total mileage to 50 miles.

Equestrians are asked to use the natural surfacing adjacent to the trails.

For more information and to obtain a map for two dollars of the Flagstaff Urban Trail System, please contact the Flagstaff Parks and Recreation office at City Hall, 211 W. Aspen, Flagstaff, AZ 86001 or call them at (928) 774-5281.
