Franklin Creek Trail Description

One of the newest trails in Elk Grove's impressive system, the Franklin Creek Trail provides extensive recreation and active transportation options to residents of the city's southern neighborhoods. The trail links hundreds of residences with schools, businesses and parks along its scenic route.

As its name suggests, the bulk of the trail follows generally dry Franklin Creek. Away from the creek, another leg parallels Franklin Boulevard, while secondary spurs provide access to Big Horn Boulevard and Spring Flower Drive.

Parking and Trail Access

Ample parking for the Franklin Creek Trail can be found at the Hal Bartholomew Sports Complex on Franklin High Road in Elk Grove. From the parking lot, proceed north to Whitelock Parkway. Safely cross the road at one of two crosswalks to reach the Franklin Creek Trail.
