Description:
The Friar's Creek Trail begins in South Temple Park, perhaps best known for the adjacent Lions Junction Family Water Park. From there, it travels north about a mile following the creek and S. 5th Street. Although some trees line the path, the trail is mostly open, passing fields, residential areas and Raye-Allen Elementary School. Trail-goers can also reach the playgrounds and picnic areas of Silverstone Park by turning west on Waters Dairy Road and traveling a short distance to the park.
