Description
The Frisco Greenway Trail runs along a portion of the former St. Louis & San Francisco Railroad, which played an important role in the development of Joplin and Webb City. The corridor was donated by Burlington Northern to Jasper County for development as a recreational trail.
The facility, in operation since 1992, has served to preserve scenic woodlands and prairies in an area undergoing rapid residential development.
For more information, please contact the Joplin Trails Coalition at P.O. Box 2102, Joplin, MO 64803.
Parking and Trail Access
The most commonly used access is immediately adjacent to the trail on St. Louis Avenue, about 100 yards south of Zora Street.
Great starter trail.

I started out using the Frisco Greenway trail to get into cycling. Its now a daily part of my 15+ mile ride. I would recommend this trail to anyone and everyone, just be careful crossing Hwy 171.
