Description:
The Gay Lea Wilson Trail/4-Mile Creek Greenway Trail is a multi-segmented trail connecting Des Moines with Pleasant Hill and Altoona. From a hub off University Avenue at Copper Creek Shopping Center in Pleasant Hill, a segment of about 5.5 miles runs northeast to Altoona and connects with the Altoona Trail System; a second runs about 1.5 miles along Four-Mile Creek south to Scott Avenue in Des Moines; and a third runs northwest about 4 miles into Des Moines, terminating at Aurora Avenue.

Nice trail.

This trail is nice it starts in Pleasant Hill and runs to Altoona. There is one shoot off into Des Moines that is under construction and there is a detour on city streets. Once it reaches Altoona there are lots of little shoot offs that take you around Altoona.
