Hangman's Gulch Trail Description

The Hangman’s Gulch Trail runs along Hangman’s Gulch, a dry stream in Castle Rock. The trail starts at Castle Rock Recreation Center, where it connects to the Woodlands Bowl Open Space on the other side of Woodlands Blvd. The trail passes by Douglas County High School, then intersects the Front Street Trail. After passing through a tunnel under I-25, the trail enters a grassland. It ends at the East Plum Creek Trail. The Hangman’s Gulch Trail is part of the planned Colorado Front Range Trail, which will run along the Front Range from Wyoming to New Mexico.

Parking and Trail Access
