Description

The Hetch-Hetchy Trail is a 2.8 mile Class 1 Trail on the approximately 100 foot wide right-a-way of the Hetch-Hetchy water pipeline, which is operated by the San Francisco Public Utilities Commission, extends diagonally east-west through the northwestern portion of Modesto. The water pipeline supplies water from Hetch-Hetchy Reservoir in Yosemite National Park to the City of San Francisco. The pipeline is below ground through the City of Modesto. High-tension power lines are located above ground. Chrysler 99 Park west end & Wesson Ranch Park East end. The next phase of the Hetch-Hetchy bike path will extend east to McHenry Avenue, and then beyond to Claribel Road

Parking and Trail Access

From Hwy-99, exit east on Standiford Ave and take first right on Sisk Rd. Parking on left in Shopping Center. Trail starts on east side of Sisk Rd just south of Shopping Center. For other Trail parking continue east on Standiford from Sisk Rd 1.6 mile and turn left on Carver Rd proceed 400 feet to parking lot on left at trail crossing.
