Description

The Hot Springs Creek Greenway Trail is actually made up of four seamlessly linked trails—Transportation Plaza Trail, Valley Street Creekwalk, Jaycee/Friendship Trail, and Hollywood Trail. When complete, the Hot Springs Creek Greenway Trail will run for 4.2 miles from just south of the famous Bathhouse Row in the tourist destination of Hot Springs, Arkansas to Lake Hamilton at the city's southern edge. While the northern portion, spanning 2 miles from the Hot Springs Convention Center to Chelsea Street, is complete and open for use, the segment south of Chelsea Street to Lake Hamilton is yet to be constructed.

For now, enjoy the walk, run, or ride near the heart of downtown Hot Springs on a dedicated off-road path. The asphalt trail connects the city's downtown with its transportation hub, sculpture garden, farmers market, skatepark, and playing fields while paralleling Hot Springs Creek for most of its route. The trail is also close to Oaklawn Park Race Track, one of the most famous thoroughbred racetracks in North America.

Parking and Trail Access

Hot Springs is only a 1 hour drive from Little Rock along I-30 and US 70. Parking for the Hot Springs Creek Greenway Trail is available near the intersection of Valley Street and Runyan Street. A second parking lot can be found farther south at the intersection of Hollywood Avenue and Bayard Street.
