Description:
From Top of Michigan Trails Council: Stretching six miles north along Lake Huron from Rogers City, the Huron-Sunrise Trail is one of northern Michigan's most beautiful. Built by the City of Rogers City, the all-asphalt trail ends in Hoeft State Park with plans for a two-mile extension to Forty Mile Point to the northwest that will be realized in 2009. To the southeast, the long-term goal is to link to the Alpena to Mackinaw City Trail. The Huron Sunrise Trail has many amenities in town and in the state park. On the north side of town is the Vogler Conservation Area, a 270 acre forested property that includes several more miles of trails for hiking and mountain biking.

Nice trail to blade, go for a run or bike ride

This is one of the most scenic trails in northern michigan. Make sure you go all the way north to the 40 Mile Point Lighthouse. It has a great beach and take a trip up the tower. The 40 Mile Point Lighthouse group has done an excellent job restoring/preserving it. Don't forget to ride the spur trails into the conservation area as well as the state park.

Wife and I rode trail on June 25, 2011 and loved it and recommend it.

Once ones gets past the town of Rogers City one rides through woods and then along Lake Huron for maybe a mile within a stone's throw. Trail ends at a State Park. Trail is very smooth.
