Description
The Imperial Valley College Bike Path sits 60' feet below sea level!
The 3.9 mile asphalt path runs 2.9 miles along the north side of Aten Road, and turns north at Clark Road for 0.5 miles to La Paz Drive. The last mile is an excellent curvy, newly surfaced asphalt path. Starting west of the entrance to Imperial Valley College on the corner of East Aten Road/Old Hwy 111 (N32.82583 W115.50376). The first two miles roll through hay fields, and then the path enters into a residential area on the north side with civic buildings on south side to Clark Road ( N32.82562 W115.56116 ) then turns north for 0.05 miles to La Paz Drive (N32.83183 W115.561244) This trail is not a "rail-trail."
Point of interest: Mission Museum at the east end of the trail gives an excellent history of the Imperial Valley.
