The Iron Springs Railroad Trail (a.k.a. Forest Trail 332) lies within Prescott National Forest west of the city of Prescott, AZ. The hilly trail is around 6,000 feet in elevation and winds through the scrubby central highlands among chaparral, pinyon-juniper and ponderosa pine forest. Part of the route follows the old Santa Fe Railroad bed. The southern end of the trail begins in the Thumb Butte area and heads north toward Granite Basin.
The trail is open to hikers, mountain bikers and horseback riders, and numerous side trails link to Forest Trail 332.
To reach the northern trailhead (limited parking), take Iron Springs Road to Granite Basin Road (1.5 miles from its intersection with Williamson Valley Road). Continue another 1.5 miles to the turnoff on the left. For more information, contact the

There is something terribly wrong with the information on Iron Springs Railroad Trail. First, there's not textual description and second, when you go to download the map, you go to Garmin to download the North East map which obviously isn't correct.
