A Lonely Ride!
By Shadowman69 in February, 2011
I rode this trail in September 2009 and could not believe how quiet this trail is. It's a bit rougher than most of the trails I am used to, but my mountain bike and I could handle it. It's very scenic the whole length of the trail and it seems longer than it is, for some reason.

I have heard that it since has been lengthened and joins a trail on the north side of Preston, Ia. If so, this would be an improvement.
Pleasant Family Ride
By Laura in May, 2001
Took our 4 year old on this trail and had an enjoyable afternoon. Beautiful scenery along the Maquoketa River and an abundance of butterflies which followed us much of the time! Great trail for families. Two or three small shelters with picnic tables along the trail which is an easy almost-4 mile ride. We were the only people on the trail on a Friday afternoon. Very quiet and peaceful!
