Print Friendly MapJonathan Daniels Trail travels the length of Ashuelot River Park through Keene. Along the stone-dust trail, you can enjoy the park’s beautiful natural backdrop and flower garden. The trail was named for a Keene native who was killed during the civil rights movement.
The trail begins at the West Street entrance to the park. From there, you can also follow the sidewalk south for a block along Island Street to reach the Cheshire Rail Trail. The scenic rail-trail heads west and north toward the Vermont border.
At the north end of the park, the trail also connects to the Appel Way Trail, which heads to Wheelock Park.
Access the trail at the West Street entrance to Ashuelot River Park, kitty-corner from the Colony Mill Marketplace (222 West Street).
Short trail but gorgeous trail along the river. Mallard ducks, beautiful fall colors and peaceful at dawn on October 11.
