Description
Lake Metigoshe State Park is located 26.5 miles northeast of Bottineau, North Dakota, and just south of the USCanada border. The park features 10 miles of multi-use trails through scenic woods and lakes, where visitors can hike, bike, cross-country ski or snowshoe. The park also include a separate 3.7-mile snowmobile trail.
In addition, there's a 2.4-mile self-guided nature trail (Old Oak Trail) that traverses wetlands and forested habitat. Boating, fishing, swimming, camping and picnicking are also available. Watch for wildlife such as moose, grouse, deer and loons.

Parking and Trail Access
From Bottineau, take County Road 49/Town Line Road 16 miles north to SR 43/106th Street and turn right (east). Go 4.5 miles to Larson Beach Road and turn left (north). The road becomes Lake Loop Road. Bear right on E. Shore Park Road and turn right again in just 0.3 mile, following signs to the park.
