Although only a mile, the Tahoe City Lakeside Trail is a key connector between the bike paths along the
north shore of Lake Tahoe and the
Truckee River. The waterfront promenade stretches from the river dam through the Tahoe State Recreation Area to Boatworks Mall on Highway 28. Along the way, overlooks, plazas, and picnic areas offer pleasant places to take in the spectacular views of the lake, river, and surrounding mountains.
