Description:
The Lincoln Hill Pathway provides an uninterupted alternative to busy Lincoln Avenue through an urban canyon type scenery between the soundwalls of Highway 101 and the SMART commuter rail project. The pathway has a moderate grade that tunnels under the Los Ranchitos freeway on and offramps and includes access to Linden Lane. The pathway connects to excellent new bike lanes on Los Ranchitos Road, and cyclists travelling north may want to use the bike lanes since the traffic signal at Merrydale Rd and N San Pedro Road is not bike or pedestrian activated and enters an area of busy traffic.
The Lincoln Hill Pathway is a critical link in the North South Greenway that Marin County is building to provide a non motorized transportation corridor through the county.
