Description
The Mansion Heights Trail passes along the northern end of a neighborhood development of the same name toward the top of Missoula's South Hills. The homes here are quite beautiful and they match the views of the valley below. The trail is short and it's separated from the road by a steep rise. A bench here and there offers a nice place to sit and take in the scenery below.
Parking and Trail Access
There is no official parking for the Mansion Heights Trail, although you might be able to park at Shadow's Keep restaurant at Ben Hogan Drive and Whitaker Drive. Park as close to the Whitaker Drive end as possible and consider going in for a refreshing drink before or after your walk.

Though definitely not a "destination" trail, this path is a nice alternative to riding or walking along Mansion Heights Drive. Also, if you want to take pictures of Missoula Valley and the mountains to the north, this is a great place to do it. If you ...
