As of 2012, the Midland Trail ran between America the Beautiful Park near I-25 and S. 21st Street in Colorado Springs. There are plans to continue the trail west another 2 miles into Manitou Springs. At the east end, in America the Beautiful Park, the Midland Trail links to the north–south running
Pikes Peak Greenway Trail. The main Midland Trail paralles US 24 (Cimarron Street) through an urban corridor in the business district.
Park at the west end at Naegele Road and S. 21st. Street (the trail is a short distance north on 21st) or American the Beautiful Park (126 Cimino Drive).
