Description
Nordhouse Dunes Wilderness Area provides a unique opportunity to get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Located along Lake Michigan, this area encompasses 3,450 acres. Most dunes are 3,500 to 4,000 years old and some are as high as 140 feet. Unlike other dune systems, this one is interspersed with woody vegetation.
Parking and Trail Access
You can access the trail from the south off Nurnberg Road. A small parking area is located on the north side of the road six miles west of Quarterline Road.
