Description:
Vinton to Dysart (Old Creamery Trail) got its name because it passes by the Old Creamery Theater Company building in Garrison. The 5 mile section between Vinton and Garrison is complete passing through typicl rural Iowa scenery. The trail is open year-round with no restrictive hours and can also be used for cross-country skiing in winter.

The Old Creamery Trail got its name because it passes by the former Old Creamery Theater Company building in Garrison. The trail goes from Vinton in Benton County, goes through Garrison, and reaches Dysart in Tama County. The former railroad right-of-way is owned by the Iowa Trails Council. It is managed by one of the chapters of the Council, formed for that purpose.
