Description:
The Ottumwa Trail System provides a scenic north-south route along the Des Moines River through the center of Ottumwa. Along the way, trail-goers can enjoy many of the city's natural treasures, including Gray Eagle Nature Preserve, Turkey Island and Ottumwa Park.

The Wapello County Trails Council provides a live web cam located in the center of the former Wabash Bridge spanning the Des Moines River in Ottumwa. The former Wabash Bridge is now part of the Wapello County Trails System. This camera pans up and down the bridge and the Des Moines River, updating every 15 seconds 24 hours/day. Parking & Trail Access:
At the southern end of the trail, parking is available at the Gray Eagle Wildlife Reserve. Mid-trail, a trailhead and parking is available from the Bridge View Center on Church Street near the Market Street bridge.
