Description:
This trail starts by entering and sharing the south most part of the Lake Artemesia trail. It exits the lake at
the southwest corner, where it goes under railroad tracks. Take the next left, past a school and recreation
center. Turn right at the next trail intersection which is the Rhode Island Trolley Line Trail. Take the next
left which meanders through woods of Lakeland Community Park, and comes out at Baltimore Avenue. Go
left along the sidewalk, and left under Baltimore Avenue. The trail then passes through part of the UM
campus, passes under University Blvd. and around the Paint Branch golf course. Part of the trail still
shows damage from a tornado several years ago. The final section is through USDA research center
property.

This trail is a part of the Anacostia Tributary Trail System.
