Description Suggest an Edit

The Piedmont Medical Center Trail (formerly the Riverwalk Trail) stretches just over 2 miles through Rock Hill near the border between North and South Carolina. The route is part of the Carolina Thread Trail, a system of trails and greenways connecting 15 counties across the two states.

The paved, wooded trail closely hugs the western shoreline of Catawba River and traverses the mixed-use community of Riverwalk. From April through September, the trail is open from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.; from October to March, the hours are 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Parking and Trail Access

A trailhead and parking lot are available on the trail's northern end: From Highway 21/Cherry Road northbound, turn right onto Dunkin's Ferry Road shortly before the Highway 21 bridge. Turn left onto Terrace Park and continue to the parking lot.
